Jan Kearney Seigel
Jan K. Seigel is one of the most recognizable names in personal injury law in Bergen and Passaic counties. After receiving undergraduate and law degrees from Georgetown University, he earned a Masters of Law from N.Y.U. Mr. Seigel served as an Assistant Passaic County Prosecutor where he tried a number of high-profile criminal cases including three murder prosecutions. In recognition of his trial expertise, he was inducted into the Honor Legion by the Police Chief's Association of New Jersey.
Mr. Seigel founded the firm in 1976 and has been engaged in private practice since that time. He continued his trial practice and has tried over 150 criminal and civil jury trials. In addition, he has argued before the Appellate Division, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and has won a landmark appeal before the New Jersey Supreme Court. He has been honored as the New Jersey State Bar Association's Young Lawyer of The Year. Mr. Seigel's reputation is well established in the legal community.
Jan K. Seigel has been selected to Who's Who In American Law since 1992 and frequently lectures to attorneys on behalf of the State and County Bar Associations as well as the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education. He is also a former faculty member at William Paterson College where he taught legal courses.
Since 1989 Mr. Seigel has limited his practice to personal injury and has recovered millions of dollars for clients including a settlement for a fourteen year old girl resulting in guaranteed payments in excess of $7.9 million. Mr. Seigel meets with every client of the firm and personally supervises each case. He is always available for his personal counseling throughout the case.
